Welcome to the Uppsala Child and Baby Lab!
We study how children perceive and understand their environments. We also investigate the processes through which children develop a range of abilities, for example different mental and social skills. You are welcome to browse through our pages to discover more about what we are doing here!
We keep our studies interesting enough for each respective age group and to keep times short while at the same time making your stay at our lab as comfortable as possible. You are always welcome to take a break in our colorful and comfortable waiting room, to relax or if you need to feed your child.
We use a vast variety of measurement resources. All of our methods of measurement are approved to be suitable for children and young infants. For more detailed descriptions feel free to browse through our Research page.
We conduct studies involving children and young infants in order to broaden the scientific knowledge on the development of cognitive and social functions. By studying these functions we try to reconstruct the developmental origins and paths of functions, that are being considered as basic, but also fundamental for our every day lives in a complex social environment.
The results of these studies not only broaden our knowledge on cognitive and social functions, they also help in developing a better understanding of impairments such as autism spectrum disorder and ADHD.
